Coco Mademoiselle

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle

Coco Mademoisselle is a womens perfume in the Chanel collection introudced in 2001 which Target audience is for the younger Chanel fans the Fragrabce was created by Jacques Prolge since 1978.
- The Chanel Coco Mademoiselle advert has a target audience of older females , the perfume advert represents females to be powerful and physically built and this is expressed in her attitudes and inner beauty. The inner beauty is shown when Keira Knightley opens her clothing and models showing her confidence whilst wearing the perfume and the sexualisation in which the perfume can offer. This therefore applies  confidence and draws female target audience as they will feel the perfume will give a feeling of sexualisation and attraction. The Target Audience for this particular advertisement is an older generation varying from 20 - 30 , this is largely due to the perfume and the aspects that the Actors have used in the Advert are of the same age group . In addition the perfume itself is targeted at age range from 20-30 due to the scent of the perfume which is a combination floral jasmine which gives aspects designed to attract males .

Moreover the Mise en scene of the clothing used and colours within the perfume advert indicates the soft scent that the perfume gives off . The use of creme coloured clothing and creme walls describe the expression from the perfume . Moreover the Mise en scene of the woman on the bike indicates the strong powerful figure that keira knightley has and how she is capable of taking on a males role and takes over the male this is shown in the background music "mans world". This can indicate the effect that the perfume gives off and how the scent of the perfume makes the man forget his status . Furthermore the power of females is represented when Keira Knightley puts her hand over the Man to stop him from kissing her, this represents the power of the female .

Chanel coco Mademoiselle is different from chanel No.5 because it is aimed at a different target audience and the scent is not the same - "Mademoiselle " gives the indication of the target audience of the perfume .

Advertising Techniques used are shown to appeal to the target audience to make them think that the perfume will attract everyone just as shown in the perfume : Coco chanel mademoiselle . The purpose of this advertisement is to give a message to the audience . One of the most popular strategies used in the history of perfume Advertising by Tom Reichart is "Desirable Quarrry". This defines the fact that the fragrance is used to turn on men/women. It is evident in the Chanel advertisement where the males are turned on by the perfume as to why they follow Keira Knightley whilst she is driving her Bike . The Mise en Scene of the chosen music "its a mans world" indicates the desires the fragrance gives off and also can suggests that the perfume is what men are attracted to. This can be referred to as an advertising technique which is visible within the Perfume.

"Negative Stereotype in to a Positive Stereotype", this theory is relevant to the perfume commercial as it shows the negative stereotypes of the female : Keira Knightley into a positive as women can be stereotyped as weak but this advert shows the female to be the lead figure taking on a mans role and taking power of the man as he falls for Keira but she runs away before he gets to her therefore this shows the aspects that the perfume advert shows.
