James Bond

How Bond Films Have Changed Over 50 Years.

Bond Film Changes over 50 Years
James Bond Films have changed considerably over the 50 years .Bond Films have changed due to the representaions in Gender and the Ethnicity and changing the view in which women are seen . Bond films have developed in seeking a wider Target Audience and is owned by a female and the Bond Films have changed the theme in 1960s Bond films were about changing the view of Communists and converting the Easts views to the West ; Females sleep with Bond and their view points change and they assist Bond . However this has developed over the 50 years Bond films are now of Terrorism and seeking Revenge which is apparent to the 1960s which was based around the period of Permissivness and the Cold War . Films became more sexualised as shown in the Dr No Film.

The role was originally Sean Connery , George Lazenbys , Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton , Pierce Bronson , Daniel Craig . The most reason Change in Bond Films is Bond character has become more drastically gritty character with Daniel Craig .

Dr No - Honey Ryder (Coming out of the sea) . 1962 Bond film - Honey Ryder plays the role of a - Swiss actress Ursula Andress , due to her heavy accent was dubbed by Nikki Van der Zyl ; typical bond fashion her name was a double entednre for the sexual position of the woman riding on top.

Die Another Day.
(2002) is the twentieth spy film in the James Bond Film and the fourth and last film to star Pierce Brosnan as the fictional MI6 agent James Bond. The film follows Bond as he leads a mission to North Korea, during which he is betrayed and, after seemingly killing a rogue North Korean colonel, is captured and imprisoned. More than a year later Bond is released as part of a prisoner exchange. Surmising that someone within the British government betrayed him, he attempts to earn redemption by tracking down his betrayer and killing a North Korean agent he believes was involved in his torture.

Casino Royale
Casino Royale is the twenty-first film , James Bond Film series the first to star Daniel Craig as fictional M16 agent .  Casino Royale is set at the beginning of Bond's career as Agent 007, just as he is earning his licence to kill. After preventing a terrorist attack at Miami International Airport .

Dr No / Die Another day / Casino Royale:

The Video links show the scenes of each film the comparison of each film is that they are all played out with similarities but differences within each Film. Firstly Comparisons are visible in the first Bond Film - Dr No where it shows a female - Honey Ryder coming out of the sea dressed in visible clothing and walking very slowly out of the Sea whilst we see a P.O.V Shot of James Bond is watching behind the trees as Honey Ryder is singing softly.

In comparison to Die another day which has a complete different female Halle Berry who is of a different skin colour to the female used in Dr No this could suggest a expressing the female aspects of a women who is black and acts differently to the Honey Ryder which the name can suggest sexual intentions and as Laura Malvey suggests it gives "Visual Pleasure of Narrative Cinema in the eyes of men".The female shown in Die another day appears to be much broader and confident when approached and walks out of the sea with a knife for her protection whilst walking with confidence displaying her  attitude where as Dr No has a female coming out of the sea singing softly and holding shells in her hands giving the audience a more relaxed feeling .

However Both film scenes are different to the scene played in Casino Royale where it shows Daniel Craig coming out of the sea in comparison to both films which have females coming out of the sea , the scene shows Daniel Craig topless and revealing his body and appealing to its target audience as well Agreeing with Judith Butlers Theory " Fluidity of Gender ".

The film can suggest a more sense of equality and subverts negative stereotypes by positive stereotypes this is shown with the use of a male coming out of the sea instead of a female. Laura Malveys theory suggests the view point that men see women as and suggests the fact that films are created with the view of a Man ; Director is a male and the producer even the camera Man . However the Film ; Casino Royale film shows that Malveys Theory does not always apply as the film is created in the eyes of Bond as he is the one appearing out of the sea instead of the female who comes out of the sea in the previous films : Die another day and Dr No .
